Drum and Bugle Corps Show
 
We encourage all band students to consider attending the Drum and Bugle Corps Show that will be held in Lafayette at the ULL Football Stadium on July 18th   at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $15 or $25 depending upon where you elect to sit.
 
Drum and Bugle Corps are outstanding professional marching bands that tour the country each summer, and this performance is valuable to any young musician.  
 
Dutchtown will host a Drum and Bugle Corp on Friday, July 18th. 
Everyone is encouraged to come out and watch their rehearsals.
 
Jazz Band
Anyone interested in playing in the jazz band 2nd semester, please call us at 621-8271.   We must have a fully-instrumentated jazz band in order to compete. We are in need of Sax and Trombone players. If you can fit it in your schedule please try to join.  
 
Gloves & Raincoats
We will purchase gloves and raincoats this year because of the requirements for the Philadelphia trip.  We hope to get these donated for our trip, if not we will have to purchase or fundraise. 
 
Parents (Booster Club)
All parents and guardians of Band and Auxiliary students are members of the Dutchtown Band Booster Club.  The Band Booster Club is a volunteer organization whose sole purpose is to provide support for the Dutchtown Sound.  To accomplish this, the Booster Club organizes not only fund-raisers but also provides volunteers for numerous band activities. As a parent, guardian and a member of the booster club, we need and hope that you would volunteer your time to support the Dutchtown Sound.  There will be many opportunities for you to help.  We will attach a list for you to fill out and send back or email.

Philadelphia Payments –Your June and July Trip Payments of $150 each will be due before the band camps begin.  These payments can be made in person at the bandroom on Tuesdays from 12:30 - 2:30 PM, make an appointment or they can be mailed to us at:
