Text Box: Shirts – This year, everyone will receive a shirt to wear as our “summer” uniform.  The uniform will consist of the above-mentioned shirt, black pants (school regulations; NO SHORTS OR CAPRIS), and tennis shoes. The band  department will purchase the shirts.   Band Shoes – Black marching shoes will be ordered by the Band Department at a cost of $25.00. Your order will not be processed until your money has been received.  All new members MUST purchase these.  You will be able to try on the shoes to find your size during band camp.   Music – You should have already received a folder with all of the halftime marching music in it. If not, you can come on Tuesdays from 12:30 – 2:30 PM to get it.  Everyone work on the Alma Mater, Fight Songs, Star Spangled Banner, and the Show Tunes (Old Man River, Second Line Saints, & Way Down Yonder.) Wind Ensemble (Sym. Winds) will have a test on All – State Music the first week of school.   Flip Folders – You must purchase one of these from Allison’s World of Music, Music Inc., or Zeagler Music.  You will need to purchase 10 additional pages.

Text Box: Welcome   Congratulations!  By receiving this newsletter, it means that you have become a part of the Dutchtown High School Band Program, also known as “The Dutchtown Sound.”  The tradition of excellence has been established and now it is up to you to maintain it.  We hope that you will do everything in your power to be a contributing member of this organization.   This Newsletter is designed to help orient all band members with the policies and procedures of the Dutchtown Sound.    Private Lessons Private lessons are being offered through the DTHS Band Department for a cost of $10-$15 a lesson.  If you have not signed up, it is not to late to do so.  Please call, 621-8271 or email us at bells@apsb.org or hollandd@apsb.org to sign up.   8th Grade Alternates This year we welcome the addition of select 8th graders to our marching band.  These students will participate in all full band activities.  Welcome! Uniform Info Our new marching and concert uniforms have been cleaned.  Freshmen and any returning student who needs a new uniform will be fitted during football season.
